What is Enchondroma?
Enchondroma is a benign cartilage tumor that develops in the bone marrow. It is mostly seen in the bones of the hands and feet and is usually asymptomatic. Patients may experience bone fractures or pain.
Enchondroma Symptoms
Enchondromas are often asymptomatic and are detected incidentally during imaging performed for another reason. However, large tumors can cause bone fractures or pain.
Enchondroma Treatment Methods
No treatment is required for small and asymptomatic tumors. However, surgical intervention may be required for large tumors. Surgical treatment is planned to remove the tumor and preserve the bone structure.
Treatment Methods:
- Surgical Curettage
- Filling with Bone Graft
